This situated in Nagalapuram which is at a distance of 70 km from Tirupathi. in the direction of southeast .Here Lord Vishnu can be seen in the form of fish(Matsya).On either side of the Lord.Sri Devi and Bhudevi can be seen.Here the Lord is in the form ready to throw the whell.It is said that,on his mother Nagamamba`s wish,Sri Krishnadevaraya built this temple in 16th Century .For that matter it was called Nagamamba Puram and now it is known as Nagalapuram

History of the place and Significane

It is said that Brahma.the creator prepard the list of Rakshasas right from the beginning of Krutayuga and the Documents were stolen by a Rakshasa called Somakasura,when Braham was in deep meditation,on request of Brahma,Lord Vishuvu went to heart of the ocean and killed Somakasura and the documents were preserved,Here ,lord went to the place in the form of fish.After that for the well being of people,he appear at that place as a rock statue(According to Puranas)As he killed Rakshasas and preserved the Vedas.so he called Vedanarayana,The temple is in east direction unlike west direction.This is one of its speciallity

In the month of March,that is Phalguni masa,the Lord will decorated and brought to main temple as a brilliant Sri Surya Bhagavan.According to tidis,at Lord`s feet on one day.At the centre of the stomach on the other day and on the head on some other day.The sun rays are allowed to fall.On this Occassion,at that time every year,Surya Puja Mahotsavams will be conducted .The temple will be opened in the following timings.6.30 am to 8.30 am,10.00 am to 11.30 am and in the evening from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm and in the night 7.00 pm to 7.45 pm

Sri Chennakesava Swamy Temple-Annamaiah Birth Place


This is at a distance of 100 km form Tirupathi.and in the village called Tallapaka.This is the birth place of great chanter Annamayya.His parents were Sri Narayana Suri and Lakkamamba.This was built by Matti Raju Around 1000 years back.Small temples in the premises of this temple.

2. Sri Gopalaswamy Sametha Chakratalwar Temple.

Every year Lord`s Brahmostavams will be conducted also Annamayya`s birth celebrations are observed


                                                        NARAYANA FOREST TEMPLE


This is at Narayana Vana,which is at a distance of 22 km from Tirupathi.This is the place where Sri Venkateswara Swami and Padmavathi got married.As a main idol ,Sri Kalayana Venkateswara can be seen.Beside this temple Sri Pavasaverwara Swami Temple,Sri Veera Bhadra Swami Temple,Sri Sakthi Vinayaka Swamii Temple,Sri Agustheeswara swami Temple,Sri Avanakshamma Temple can be seen

on the chest of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara,Lakshmi Devi can be seen .Also hunting sword in the hand,metal belt of Dasavatara,Kalyana bangle to the hand,Salagrama Japamala to the nect can be seen

The Speciality of this temple  is ,Lord will appear with open eyes.Due to this devotees will be greatly enjoyed with the visit of Lord`s eyes.Here Sri Padmavathi mother temple,Sri Andal Temple,Sri Seetha Lakshamana sameta Rama Temple,Sri Ranga Nayakula Swami Temple,can also be seen .Brahmostavams will be conducted every year on Sankranthi and main festivals.Giriprakshanam will be observed in the Pradakshinam the idoils of Sri Pavasareswara Swami,Sri champaka Valli Mother,Sri Agasthaswara Swami Sri Marakatalli will be revolved with great joy

Here the largest Tirugali(grinder) can be seen.It is said that,on the marriage day,Nalugu is done with the flour that in taken from this Tirugali

Sri Annapura Sametha Kasi Vishwesswara Swami Temple

This is at Bugga which is at distance of 56 km from Tirupathi,This is on the way to Nagala Puram from Nagari.This is Situated on the bank of river Kusasthali.In the main temple,idoils Sri KasiVishweswara Swami,Sri Kasi Annapuran Mother,Sri mother Kamakshi,Sri Devi Bhudevi sameta Sri Prayaga Madhava Swami can be seen. Festivals like Mahasivaratri,Karthika Somavaram will be conducted



           
Sri Karveti Nagaram-Sri Venugopala Swami Temple

This is at Karveti Nagaram Near Puttur which is at a distance of 48 km from Tirupathi.Idoils of Sri Venugopalaswami, Sri Rukhmini matha,Sri Satyabhama, can be seen in the temple.Festivals like Bramostavams ,Utla ustavam,Mukkoti Ekadasi,Ugadi Asthanam,Gokulastami,Teppostavam,Sankranthi were conducted every year.In the small temple Pattabisheka Sri Seetha Rama can be seen

This is a distance of 60 km from Tirupathi.This is on the middle of the way to Pitchaturu at a distance of 14 km from Puttur.Here Agastamuni inagurated the idol of Kailasaanad.Lord as well as nature`s beauty are attractive to the visitors

 Here special pujas will be conducted on Karthika Somavaramu,Mahashivaratri

                      Sadasiva Kona
This is at a distance of 35 km from Tirupathi to puttur on the way to Vadamala from Puttur.There are two Konas,Ayyakona,Ammakona at this place. between these places there is a temple of Lord Shiva and Parvathi,so this is called Sadashiva Kona .As this is very interior from the bus route.Visitors must walk a distance of 2 km to reach the temple

Sri Lakshmi Narayana Swamy Temple

This is at a distance of 65 km from Tirupathi to Chittoor and at a distance of 15 km from chittoor in the village called Vepamjeri.Vem means sin,pancha means five.Hari means remover .It means that which removes sins made by man and formed by the basic five elements,So this is called Vepamgiri, Here 21 feet Lord Vishnuvu idol with ten forms can be seen


 Veyilingala Kona-Markendeya Theerdham
Here Lord Siva in the form of Linga and situated in Veyilingalakona at a distance of 7 km from Sri Kalahasthi,on the Linga of Swami ,Thousand shapes can be seen in the form of Linga.It is said that the water of Markendeya Teerdham had many medicinal Values
